Canadian Military Veteran Aaron Bedard served as a sapper in Afghanistan. He’s now part of a class action lawsuit with the Equitas Society against the Federal Government.

The action, in part, asks for the Federal government to fulfill a sacred obligation to care for wounded military men and women who were injured while serving Canada.  The obligation dates back to the First World War to care for the wounded and to care for the family of Military men and women who die in service to Canada.

The lawsuit was placed in abeyance under previous Conservative Veterans Affairs Minister Erin O’Toole, however, it is now back in court under Liberal Veterans Affairs Minister Kent Hehr.
